Notes
GENERAL INFO
Pris means "taken," "caught," or "gotten." It is the past participle of the verb "prendre" (to take, to catch, to get).
USAGE
It's commonly used with "avoir" to form compound tenses: "J'ai pris le train" (I took the train).
It also functions as an adjective: "La place est prise" (The seat is taken).
TRAPS
Remember past participle agreement!
With "avoir," pris usually doesn't agree unless the direct object precedes it ("La photo que j'ai prise").
As an adjective, it always agrees (pris/prise/pris/prises).
