GENERAL INFO
Marche can be a feminine noun (`la marche`) meaning "walk," "step," "stair," or "march." It is also the conjugated form of the verb *marcher*, meaning "to walk" or "to work/function."
USAGE
As a noun: *Faire une marche* (to go for a walk), *monter les marches* (to go up the stairs).
As a verb: *Il marche vite* (He walks fast). *Ça marche !* (It works!).
TRAPS
Confusing the noun la marche with the verb form marche. Also, a key trap is that *marcher* means "to work" for objects or systems (*Le téléphone marche* - The phone works), not just "to walk."
